Good News!
The Angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."  Luke 2:10-11

Dear Faithful Friends of Soundview:
We all love good news don't we?  Sometimes the news of something we longed for finally arrives and our waiting is over.  It might be a clean bill of health, a new job, an engagement, or a financial blessing.  The joy of the news is exhilarating and we celebrate those life's exciting moments.
There is "good news" and then there is "great news".  The great news that a baby is born is an everlasting joy that impacts a young mom and dad forever.  The news of Jesus' birth impacted all mankind for an eternity!  We celebrate this Season and share the good news that Jesus Christ, our Savior came to save us and gives us eternal life.  "For from Him through Him and for Him are all things.  To Him be the glory forever!  Amen."   Romans 11:36
It is our joy to share this good news with the women and men who walk through our doors that God is a God of love who gives life abundantly to all those who know Him and receive His extravagant gift of LIFE.
We are thankful for YOU because you make this a reality by supporting this ministry financially and prayerfully.
Would you consider giving a financial gift that will bring hope and LIFE to our clients that will last a lifetime?  If so, please click here www.give.soundviewpregnancy.com  and go straight to our giving page.
On behalf of our staff and board, we wish you and yo ur families a blessed and joyful Christmas Celebration.
Blessings,
Doreen Jansson

NIFLA (National Institute of Family & Life Advocates) to File Amicus Brief before the US Supreme Court
Will use Soundview staff and client testimonies in Brief

Anne O'Connor, v ice president of Legal Affairs at  NIFLA,  told Soundview staff recently that the  US Supreme Court will be hearing their challenge to California's mandate that pregnancy resource centers and medical clinics refer for abortions.

NIFLA members represented in this case by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) are asking the high court to protect First Amendment rights to free speech and religious liberty, as well as unborn children's right to life.
NIFLA founder and president, Thomas Glessner, J.D., said the case could impact all Americans across the political and philosophical spectrums.
"California's threat to pro-life pregnancy care centers and medical clinics counts among the most flagrant violations of constitutional religious and free speech rights in the nation. The implications of the Supreme Court's decision in this case will reverberate nationwide, to similar unconstitutional laws in Illinois and Hawaii.
The price of non-compliance with the so-called "FACT Act" is severe: pregnancy resource centers face fines and the loss of medical licenses for noncompliance. This punishment would harm these centers as well as the vulnerable pregnant women to whom these pro-life groups provide free counseling and care.
NIFLA is having an amicus brief written that will show the human side of pregnancy centers and will contain several client success stories from pregnancy centers nationwide, including Soundview Pregnancy Services. Please keep this important case in your prayers. Our freedom of religious liberty and our freedom of speech is at stake.

2017 Annual Banquet Update:

"Blown away!" That was the response of numerous guests who attended this year's "Power of Love" fundraising banquet. Abby Johnson held us captive as she recounted her years as a Planned Parenthood Clinic Director. We were appalled at some of the abortion industry's practices and our hearts were broken over the loss of so many innocent lives.

If you are like me, you were also in awe of God's amazing grace to save Abby from the abortion industry's grip and how He is now using her to be a loud voice for the unborn and helping to rescue others from the abortion industry!

We are pleased to tell you that we raised  $130,000.00
and that will be absolutely vital in continuing to serve women and men on Long Island. We are thankful to you for being there, and giving so generously to help us in this important mission.

Please keep us in prayer as we continue to fight the good fight for life. We are grateful to you and encouraged by your love for the unborn and the women who are becoming new moms.

Digital Ad Campaign Update:
Our Digital Ad campaign to engage and draw potential clients is going great!

The ads appear on the cell phones during certain keyword Google searches in certain geographical areas that we have designated utilizing "geofencing."  The "click through rate" to our Soundview website is performing at nearly 3 - 4 times above what is considered acceptable.

We are really encouraged by this!  Here are a few examples of some of the ads that are appearing:

 Client Services News:
Coming in 2018!! NEW "MENtoring" Program

A woman with an unplanned pregnancy is not the only parent involved in the decision making process. Often the father of the baby will be with her, and he too has many fears and questions. Our goal is to come alongside the dads in the waiting room and meet them where they are at.

We will now be offering them a MENtoring program where Godly men will have the opportunity to come alongside them, share the love of Christ, and help them to be the best Dad that they can be. The ultimate goal is to bring them to a saving relationship with the Lord and plug them in to a loving, caring Bible-based church body.

One in three children in the United States grow up in father absent homes. We are praying that Soundview can be a catalyst for change, so that each child has a Dad that they can love, respect, and emulate. We want to show them how a Godly man lives and how much their Heavenly Father loves each one of them.

Happy Baby's First Birthday!!

We recently celebrated a Client's baby's very first birthday at our Centereach office. Surrounded by the Grandmother and Soundview staff, they celebrated with cake, lots of presents, balloons, and party hats! They blew out the candle and had a great time!! Because of your faithful support, we are able to serve our clients in so many ways!

Post Abortive Recovery Groups

Our Post Abortive Recovery Ministry is currently running in both of our offices.  As our East Meadow group comes to a close, a new group has begun in Centereach.  We meet every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm for approximately the next 8 weeks. It is not too late to sign up if you are interested in joining this group.

Please contact Ellen Holland at 516-430-7990 or ellen@soundviewpregnancy.com for more information.

NEW Mom's Support Group!

We have welcomed a new addition to the services we provide here at Soundview! Our very first Mom's Group was held on Wednesday, December 6th
and will be held on a monthly basis.

Several of our clients and their beautiful babies attended the Mom's Group launch.  The moms were happy to share laughs, encouragement and tips.  Each month we will kick each meeting off with a godly message and focus on a different topic such as Car Seat Safety, so that the moms can be filled with love and knowledge!

Church Partnership Activities:

Youth Group Workshop - At CenterPoint Church

Soundview was invited to share in a Relationships Series held at  the Young Adult Group of CenterPoint Church in Massapequa on October 17th.  Client Services Director Diana Heuman and Client Services Coordinator Laura Wu spoke with the young adults on the topic "Boundaries in Relationships."

By sharing stories and lessons from their own lives Diana and Laura shared relevant information that touched the hearts and minds of these young adults.  We received wonderful feedback from the group, an attendee stated:

"Thanks to Diana and Laura's presentation I now understand how much our culture and world influenced my ideas and beliefs on boundaries and what they consist of.  These women truly helped me rediscover my worth in God and what my life can look like when I truly live and love as the Bible instructs."
