WE Have This Moment Today! 9/11/16
When I wrote today's message, I had no thought or idea what today marks!!!

HUMBLE OR HUMBLED????
THIS is the "$64,000.00 question!"
GREETINGS again from sunny Foley, AL.
It is early here-they are on Central Time and we are up (PTL) and getting ready to attend Sunday morning services with our Foley Church family.
For those counting, my seafood dinner count is now 5!
Are WE "supposed" to live "HUMBLE or HUMBLED!!??
There IS a huge/YUGE difference between the two words.
OUR Bible does require US to "HUMBLE OURSELVES."
James 4:10 (KJV)
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
BUT with our SELF-humbling, God PROMISED to "LIFT us up!"
Paul admonished Timothy that he was "not ashamed" for he knew in or "WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED!"
God HAS miraculously GIVEN each of US-that includes YOU-unique GIFTS!!!
Ephesians 4:8 (KJV)
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Now YOUR gift or mine may not seem as big or fancy or important as another's, but each of us HAS a gift!
1 John 2:27 (KJV)
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
WE "NEED NOT that any man teach you!"
We, therefore, NEED NOT to "BE ASHAMED!!!!"

Sadly, in truth, we, too often, are our own worst enemy!!
WE look in the mirror and WE see more faults that everybody else sees!
Did not that same Apostle Paul write:
1 Corinthians 4:3 (KJV)
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
WE do NOT even have the "right" to JUDGE our "OWN SELF!!!!"
To complete this thought, Paul further wrote:
1 Corinthians 4:4-5 (KJV)
4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

OUR lives MUST be lived for and unto "AN AUDIENCE OF ONE!!!!"

Daily, OUR lives are a SPECTACLE/A PLACE FOR PUBLIC SHOW/THEATRE!
And EVERYBODY has an opinion/judgement/criticism on OUR shows!!!!!
In all honesty, I believe most, if not all of us, desire to "put on a good/great show-AMEN!!??
WE all want to "leave it all on the field of play!"
At the end of each day, WE have done our best!
I have OFTEN said and preached:

IF I could have been a better man, husband, father, Christian, preacher, singer, musician, etc., etc., etc, I WOULD HAVE!"
WE ARE not ONLY "as good as our last bat!"
YOU may have struck out with the bases loaded yesterday, BUT that was yesterday!
TODAY is a new day!!!

24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is precisely why TODAY is called "the PRESENT!"
Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote these excellent lyrics:

Amanda is having a rough morning and one of us-my wife or I-may have to keep her home.
Septembers are a hard month for me-Wendy's birthday (9/3/74) is this month as well as my late grandson Connor's (9/26/01).
