The second Sunday in May has long been recognized as the day to honor mothers and their commitment to children. The Friday before Mother's Day is the day we remember YOU! May 12, 2017 is Provider Appreciation Day, a special day to recognize child care providers, teachers, school-age program staff, child care center directors and staff, and all those who work with children and are responsible for their education and care.
From a State level, Governor Scott and the state of Florida have recognized early education and child care providers for their important work. Click Here for the Proclamation
From a county level, the Board of County Commissioners recognize that high quality early child care services represent a worthy commitment to our children's future.
From a local level, the Coalition would like to recognize our amazing child care centers and homes with small tokens of our appreciation for the work that you do. Throughout next week, we will be giving away local gifts from community partners through our Facebook page! Beginning Monday, we will have 2 posts per day--at 6:30 am and 5:30 pm --where providers can "comment to win" a gift donated by a local business; on Friday, Provider Appreciation Day, we will give away 5 gifts! To participate, simply comment on our Provider Appreciation posts and Facebook's randomizer app will pick a gift recipient, who will be notified via facebook messenger. A few things to note...
This is open to all of our SR and VPK participating schools--this includes all school Facebook pages AND any individual Facebook page of teachers or staff.
If you are a provider commenting from your individual Facebook page, please list what center or FCCH you are from at the end of your comment.
You will have up until 5:00 pm of the same day to comment on the morning post, and 12:00 am to comment on the afternoon post.
Only one gift per Facebook account. For example, if the school account is selected for a prize, the school would not be selected to receive another gift. HOWEVER, if an individual teacher from that same school comments, they are still eligible for selection.
This is a fun way to use social media to interact and support the amazing work done in early education! Please encourage all teachers and staff to participate next week, as we would like to give every opportunity to celebrate all of our providers! To be directed to our Facebook page,
