"We are Grateful"

Dear Members and Friends of Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
We have much to be grateful for on this Spring-like day in late March.
Our Jamaica mission trip team returned home safely on Saturday night after a week of mission and ministry. They are excited to share with you some of their experiences and "God-sightings" THIS Sunday, April 2, during both of our morning worship services. I encourage you to attend (and bring a friend) to hear all about the work and ministry done on behalf of Our Savior's Lutheran in Jamaica. The Jamaica team will be assisting with worship and providing a "Taste of Jamaica" between services during our time of coffee and conversation.
We also celebrate with 20 of our young people this coming Sunday and next Wednesday as they receive and celebrate their First Communion! This is such an important FaithMarker in the lives of these young people and I hope you will be there to rejoice and celebrate with them as they receive this gift of grace for the first time.
We have another baptism scheduled for this coming Sunday at our 10:30 a.m. service! I hope you'll be there to help us rejoice and welcome little Brayden Lyle into our community of faith and into the Body of Christ.
And of course we are continuing our "Lent with Luther" theme on Wednesdays. This week we look closely at the Bible and how and why we are daily called to read it, study it, and apply it to the way we live.
Negotiations are continuing to be made with Ecumen as we try to finalize a purchase agreement for the sale of some of our property for the potential building of a senior housing residence. As soon as the purchase agreement is finalized, we will schedule a congregational meeting for the purpose of voting on the sale of some of our property. Stay tuned. We'll keep you updated and posted on developments.
We are also continuing our search for a new parish nurse. If you or someone you know may be interested in this position, please contact
Shelly Rock at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater.
Like I said - we have much to be grateful for at Our Savior's! Thank you for all you do to make our church what it is!
