As a pediatric cardiologist, I worry about children born with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).  This is a very treatable disease, but over 90% are undiagnosed.  Without a proper diagnosis and treatment they are 20 times more likely than non-affected individuals to experience coronary heart disease.

In a few short years, the FH Foundation has:
  • Raised awareness among individuals, health care providers, and health policy experts;
  • Engaged the scientific community so that optimal treatment is available to all who need it.

Our ultimate goal, with your help, is to identify and treat the 1 in 250 individuals born with FH.  The Davis family has generously offered to match every contribution dollar for dollar until we reach our $24,000 goal in September.  Together we can truly save lives.
