The Wilkinson Center awarded First Unitarian Church of Dallas their 2017 "Justice League Award" for (1) the Community Service team's Thanksgiving Turkey Basket Drive; and (2) spearheading Friends for Good's 2017 Emergency Food Kits in November.

“The church” is not just a building or an institution.  You are the church! You make everything we do together possible through sharing your gifts – your time, talent, and treasure. The talent of this community is a deep, deep well. The treasure of this community is shared generously by people of diverse means. Time, however, can sometimes feel like the scarcest resource.

Navigating Grief is a six-week healing journey through loss. This course is designed for those challenged by recent loss or coping with old losses which are unresolved. All are welcome, though it is suggested that your participation in the class be at least three months after your loss has occurred. Sessions are held Tuesdays at 7pm beginning March 20.

We hold close Mary Sue Foster’s daughter Kim Soto , receiving treatment for leukemia, and Richard Grayson and family as they care for his mother, Betty Tidwell , in hospice.

We mourn the death of longtime congregant Charles Crow last Sunday. A viewing will be held on Mar. 9 at 2:30 pm in Raible, followed by a memorial service in the Sanctuary at 4 pm. Donations in his honor can be made to the Endowment & Memorial Gift Fund here .
