Dear Neighbors,
I am so excited! We have received official word from the DC Board of Elections that I, Natalie Williams, have met the qualifications to appear on the April 3, 2012 ballot.
My team worked diligently in gathering accurate signatures and is now ready to begin the roll-out of our aggressive, strategic outreach plan that will reach thousands of residents across our Ward.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of my dedicated team members who assisted in the signature gathering process. The days were very long and very cold. I could not have done this without you. Thank you very much .....
Mary Buckley Bruce Holmes Nardyne Jefferies Gussie Brooks Charles Tomlinson Jr. Donna Rouse Ralph Nelson Kathy McFarland Tamika Odom To all of my Ward 8 neighbors --- I would like to encourage you to not be afraid of change. The time has come for transition in the leadership of our Ward. With that in mind, it is imperative that we, the residents of Ward 8, elect a leader who doesn't take our vote for granted ... one who listens to us, feels our pains and embraces our dreams and aspirations. I AM THAT LEADER! I ASK FOR YOUR VOTE ON APRIL 3rd. To all my fellow candidates -- let me be the first to wish you good health during as we campaign. We all know how difficult it is to get out there in these temperatures. I sincerely wish you much strength. Get out there! Reach the voters! Run your race! Keep it clean!...and let the best WOMAN win!

The Decriminalization of Ward 8 ... Enough is Enough!
|
Natalie Williams, Candidate for Ward 8 City Council, releases the following statement after last week's multiple shooting in Southeast, which occurred on the heels of the release of her crime initiative called "Safety On Our Streets ... The Decriminalization of Ward 8!"
"Unfortunately, the developments of today's shooting resemble the harsh reality of the climate in parts of Ward 8 and our entire city. Whenever we have young people who believe that the only way to settle their differences is through violence and the taking of another human being's life then we as a community, we as a collective race, we as leaders have not done enough to instill the true values of life."
