Powerhouse Science Center is bursting-at-the-seams excited to report we've made it onto the Sacramento City Council agenda for this coming  Tuesday, September 12 at 6 PM.

Why is this important?

Well, that night we expect to learn the level of financial support the city intends put behind our plan to build a new science center at the site of the historic PG & E power substation along Sacramento's Riverfront.

Please stand with us and the community -- #Sac4Powerhouse!

Your presence at this pivotal decision point will let Mayor Darrell Steinberg and city council members see how much this community values science. We believe a bigger science center in Sacramento will inspire our region's kids today to pursue higher learning so that they're the ones filling the jobs of tomorrow.

How you can help:

1.  Attend the Sacramento City Council meeting on  Tuesday, September 12 at 6 PM.  Help  us fill the council chambers!

2. Wear the color GREEN on Tuesday! Green shirt, green bandanna, green pants, green hat, green cowboy boots...or all of the above. A sea of green will fill the room and our #Sac4Powerhouse message will be heard -- loud and clear.

3. Show your support for science in Sacramento by liking/sharing Powerhouse's posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Create your own social media posts using the hashtag #Sac4Powerhouse, or simply forward this email to a friend.
