We are excited to announce that we have an immediate full-time opening for a Housing Specialist Supervisor.
 

Position Details: Housing Specialist Supervisor

This is a highly professional position representing HOPE South Florida (HSF). Provide supervision of housing placement specialists and case managers for homeless clients who participate in various government grant and privately funded housing programs for families, single adult veterans and others. Programs are both project-based and scattered-site and focus on rapid re-housing and transitioning-in-place. Supervise a team of professional staff team who work directly with homeless program participants to develop, arrange and coordinate case plans towards the goal of transitioning to permanent housing.

Position may also have responsibility for direct service for a caseload of diverse families/individuals recovering from homelessness. Coordinate and compile data for reporting to grantors and other funders using Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and other programs. Work with a team to ensure contract compliance through the provision of services and with church volunteers and other collaborative partners to achieve program goals.


Education, Training, and Experience:


Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Social Work or related fields, Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in the homeless/social services field, emphasis on housing placement and case management supervision experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.


General Information:  
  • Determined drug-free as proven by negative per-employment drug screening.  
  • Person should hold a current Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving history.   
  • Access to transportation on a daily basis for off-site meetings, and program sites.  
  • Physical capacity to preform the duties as assigned/described.  
  • Fingerprint and TB test clearance.  
  • A satisfactory Level II criminal background screening.
