Cindy Lackenbacher, daughter of Jackie and Mickey Lackenbacher, will become a Bat Mitzvah. The Kiddush luncheon is being provided by Jackie and Mickey in Cindy's honor.

Shabbat Shalom
November 11, 10:00 a.m.
A New Shabbat Program for Everyone! 
Shabbat Shalom will be more than just a greeting at TIS. It will be an entire Shabbat experience meeting the needs of all ages and stages. Here is how our day will look:
  • Taste of Shabbat: Our abbreviated learners service.
  • Shabbat Play Date: Families with young children through Kindergarten are invited to come and enjoy free-play, songs, stories, grape juice and challah, and more. 
  • Shabbat Rocks: Kids in grades 1 - 6 (divided into two groups) will explore the weekly parasha, become more familiar with the service, and engage in fun activities.
  • Midrash Shabbat: Our monthly Kiddush Luncheon follows all of our 10:00 a.m. programs offering an opportunity for learning.

TIS Cabaret:  Just Between Friends.... Still

Come and share an evening of music and comedy featuring some of San Diego's most acclaimed performers. .

In the TIS Family

Sasha Juliet Wasserstrom was born on October 3. Her parents, Amand and Adam, and big sister Abigail, are excited with the new addition to their family. TIS members, Barbara and Jeff Wasserstrom are thrilled with their new granddaughter.

Georgia Ruby Gipsman arrived on October 17 and was welcomed by her parents, Giuliette and Aaron Gipsman. This is the first grandchild for our members Marlene and Michael Recht and the first great-grandchild for Reyna and Leon Sasson.

Emunah Bracha Kurzman was born October 18. Ilana and Mark Kurzman, and big brother Akiva, are all thrilled to welcome her to the family. This is the third grandchild for our members Judi and Marvin Zaguli.
