Christmas Tree Recycling & Chipping
Saturday, January 7, 9am-3pm
Sunday, January 8, 9am - 12pm 

This CSD/Waste Connections sponsored free event takes place at the Community Park. Cash donations will be accepted for our Community Supporting Youth Fund.
To prepare: remove everything from the tree including all ornaments, lights, ornament holders, nails and stand.
NOTE: Trees that are "flocked" are not eligible for chipping. 
Discarded wreaths, garland, and greenery with metal, plastic, wire, lights, or ornamentation are not considered green waste. Place them in your trash cart.
Residents have a choice to:
A) Bring their own trees to the Community Park either day
B) Utilize Boy Scout curbside tree collection fundraiser offered on Saturday only
C) Cut the tree into small pieces for the green waste cart (making sure it's not so packed in that it will get stuck in the cart when being emptied) for green waste collection week
D) Take their trees to the Recycling Center at 4421 Latrobe Road
E) Take their trees to the Material Recovery Facility in Diamond Springs

Country Line Dancing
Thursdays, January 12 - 26, 5:30-6:30pm

Exercise your body and mind dancing to lively, upbeat music. Country line dancing is a fun way to dance socially without a dance partner and get fit. Fee: $33. Registration Information.

Exploration at the Crocker Art Museum
Wednesday, January 25, 9:15am - 2:30pm

Enjoy a one-hour docent-led tour of the Crocker Art Museum and its many exhibits. Then be treated to a delicious lunch from our special menu in the cafĂ©. There will be time for exploration of the museum on your own. Lunch is INCLUDED. Registration deadline is January 10. Registration information .

Cooking with Kids
Mondays, January 23 - February 13, 3:45-4:45pm
Calling all Little Chefs! Join us in the kitchen to explore the culinary world through a child's eyes. We work with all fresh/organic ingredients and eat or share our creations. Class features nutrition and kitchen safety. $35 material fee payable to Susan Kakavas at the first class. Instructor:

Volunteer Opportunity
Archery Range Boundary Split-Rail Fence
Winter through Spring 2017
The CSD is looking for local groups and organizations who would be interested in participating in the construction of this split-rail fence, which will run along the boundary of the archery range on El Dorado Hills Boulevard. Visit the CSD website for more information.
