School Highlights
The Lane hosts Orange Ruler Fun Run, students raise $32,000
On Friday, Sept. 21, The Lane School held its first Orange Ruler Fun Run. The Fun Run celebrated students meeting and surpassing their fundraising goal for special projects at the school and featured outdoor activities and a mechanical Pig Race!

Principal Brandon Todd agreed to shave his head if the school reached 125% their goal of $20,000. The students surpassed their goal by even more, raising $32,000!
Madison Student Murals on Display
At the end of last school year, all Madison School students collaborated on mixed media murals inspired by artist Takashi Murakami. Students loved the bright colors, repeating shapes, and characters Murakami creates in his artwork.
Finishing touches were added at the beginning of this school year and the artwork was hung up to fill the hallways with bright color! Thank you to art teachers Julie Vladika, Hillary Andrlik, and Ashley Sackley for inspiring our students to think creatively!
Prospect Principal Shares Inspiring Storytime
Prospect Principal Mrs. Cummings has been reading aloud the book "Giraffes Can’t Dance" to each class and chatting with them about what they can’t do 'YET!' It’s a great way to think about goals for the school year!
Elm Remembers Teacher Lisa DeRose
Elm School planted a Rose Garden in memory of teacher Lisa DeRose who passed away in August. Thank you to all who made this beautiful tribute possible.
Oak hosts Vet Science Class after school
Oak Students are learning all about animals and how to care for them. Through their Vet Science Class, held in 10 after-school sessions, students learn how to give pet exams and first aid treatments and use real instruments like stethoscopes, otoscopes, and blood pressure cuffs. This class is provided through a partnership with Whole Child.
