THIS IS ONE NEWSLETTER YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!
WE'VE GOT REALLY BIG NEWS!

It's April and we're moving, shaking and flying in new directions! We have so much good news to tell you we decided to change our newsletter format. We're keeping this simple, to the point and on message. We're taking Murder Cafe and Theatre on the Road to new heights, and we invite you to take the journey with us. Read on!
Theatre on the Road and Murder Cafe find a home.

RED HOOK, NY: Murder Cafe and Theatre on the Road, will now be housed under one big roof. Effective immediately we'll be operating out of The Chocolate Factory at 52 Elizabeth Street in Red Hook. Less than 15 minutes from Kingston and minutes from Rhinebeck, our new space will be shared with Monica Lewin and her music studio, Music Portal. We'll have 1800 square feet on the ground floor of this beautifully restored factory building, with easy access and plenty of parking.

We're still going to be "on the road" but we will now have a permanent home for storage and rehearsal and performance space. Yes, I said performance space! In addition to the year-round shows we bring to area restaurants, historic sites, schools and community centers, we'll be scheduling monthly events and workshops at the Chocolate Factory...in a room that can comfortably seat up to 100 people.

We're planning an open house, with live music, performances, refreshments and special guests on April 15th. We look forward to showing you our new space and what we have planned for it.

Collaborations are important to us so we're open to any and all ideas for the use of the space as long as they're related to music and theatre.

Your evening begins when Frederick and Mrs. Vanderbilt host a summer garden party; you'll mingle with their wealthy neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. John Astor IV, as well as Vassar professor Percy Longfellow. You'll be fussed over by loyal butler, Horace, and fortune-hunting maid, Charlene. Katherine Kerry, a reporter on the scene, observes much more than glitz and gaiety when she witnesses a murder.

Written and directed by Anika Krempl for Theatre on the Road, Murder at the Mansion just sold out at Weed Orchards & Winery in Marlboro and the Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck. There are two dinner show performances left and you can catch one at one of the following venues:
