HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 13, 2018) – The Washington County Division of Emergency Services informs all citizens that due to recent precipitation in the region, the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Washington County until 8:15 p.m.

As of 2:16 p.m., hydrology reports for Conococheague Creek at Fairview and Licking Creek at Pectonville indicate sharp and unexpected rises in water levels.

With an increase in water levels, the County encourages all citizens to be aware of flooding in well and septic tank areas. The Washington County Health Department has provided instructional documentation for an overflowing well or septic tank, which can be found at the links below:
