1. List current barriers and facilitators specific to breastfeeding among African American women.
2. Explain why the social ecological framework is most useful for understanding those current breastfeeding interventions revealed through the literature.
3. Identify characteristics to successful interventions and strategies that impact initiation and duration of breastfeeding with particular focus on low-income African American mothers' maternal psycho-logical vulnerabilities during the early postpartum period.
