Much work has already been accomplished in developing a very useful plan for The Family Center (the 8900 sq ft space under the Worship Center).  A dedicated group of building committee members has met several times and will continue to do so as construction begins in the spring.

Thanks to the following who are serving our church in this capacity:

Pastors Mark, Alan and Chris
Katie Conaway
Thomas DiPietro
Sandy Gardner
Stan Harris
Ed Murphy

Tour of the Family Centerfctour

On  Sunday, January 21, you are invited to go down to t he lower level of the Worship Center after church and see The Family Center before construction begins later this spring.  This is a great opportunity to see the space and envision what it will look like when completed.

Children's ministry staff will be in their respective places to welcome you.  If you have children in the children's ministry that morning, go pick them up and bring them along with you.  They will be excited to see where they will eventually meet.

January Mission Ministry
Persecuted Church Prayer Focus - Nigeria persecutedchurch

Between 2013 and 2016 over half a million Christians from the Christian majority Benue State in Nigeria have found themselves displaced and in search of work due to clashes with the Fulani militants. In late 2016, Fulani militants attacked a Christian village, destroying its crops and  in other attacks, several villages were ambushed, forcing thousands to flee to neighboring communities. Many who fled ended up seeking refuge at an internally displaced person (IDP) camp in Kanfanchos.

On March 2017, thirty people were killed when ethnic Fulani gunmen attacked Zaki Bian, a predominantly Christian village. Neighboring Plateau State, which is also predominantly Christian, has witnessed persistent Muslim Fulani attacks. In October 2017 alone, over 55 people were killed in attacks on Christian communities.

Pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria to stand firm in their faith in spite of these attacks. Pray that the Fulani militants would be halted in their attacks and that the Nigerian government would be more actively involved in protecting their citizens.
