My islam bookshelf

My Isl@m Reviewed by the Wall Street Journal!

Amir Ahamd Nasr's My Isl@m (St Martin's Press, June 2013) has been reviewed by the Wall Street Journal! Paul Berman from the  Wall Street Journal calls  My Isl@m "A vivid passage...ostentatiously unpretentious and secretly grandiose. It reflects a deep trend in world history, with the Internet as prime mover."
My Isl@m depicts Nasr's Internet exploration and how it "offered an alternative education, which meant that, for a while, he hardly knew where he stood in regard to Islam, the Jews, the U.S. and the world in general." Full Article. For more information on My Isl@m and Nasr's journey, click here.

Praise From Our Authors

Thank you, Eileen Curran, author of Finding Graciefor your kind words!

"Linda Langton and her team at Book Marketing International have been enormously helpful to me as I progress through final edits in my current manuscript. Without Linda's encouragement and direction, I wouldn't be receiving the level of support that I need to fine-tune my writing. I expect that my novel will be polished and publishable as a result of our teamwork."

Social Media Tips From Great American Institutions

Harvard and other Ivy League schools have found success in using social media to attract potential students.  As the Internet age rages on, other companies have targeted audiences with similar success.  Here's how:

1. Highlight your assets. Harvard posts photographs from, and information about, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for their Astrophysics Program; they've added a photo of a page that sixteen-year-old Abraham Lincoln scribbled a math exercises on to help lead prospective students to the site.

2. Reach Out and Make Information Easily Accessible. Universities know that most students belong to at least one social media website, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Youtube, and therefore have used these.

3. Attract Attention. Use photographs and videos in order to enhance your message.  Start a blog on your website and link it to your Facebook and Twitter pages.

4. Post regularly. This will keep your pages fresh and your company up-to-date!
