Weekly Roundup
Democratic news from Dallas County
 and beyond.

A Day Without Women
Wednesday, March 8 marks International Women's Day, and we will be joining women across the country in a national strike for equality. The intent is to "spotlight the economic power and value of women and their contributions to society in paid and unpaid labor." To further drive this point home, we won't just strike, we'll also write and call our representatives and demand action.

We invite you to join us at Deep Ellum Brewing Company (2823 St Louis St., Dallas, TX 75226) at 1 PM for a postcard/phonebanking party. Meet other nasty women, enjoy local beer, and fight injustice with us. We'll provide the pens, postcards, and addresses/phone numbers of your representatives, but make sure to bring a charged cellphone.

We know that not everybody is in the economic position to go on strike, so we made the postcards (see the front above) available to download on our website:

"The people united will never be divided."
Resistance and civil disobedience in 2017 requires intersectional solidarity and community organizing. An attack on some of us is an attack on all of us. We have to stand united and fight all forms of oppression during Trump's Administration.
