Wednesday Herald                                                                       May 17, 2017
A Message From Mr. Stoops
On Thursday, all of our new kindergarten students, registered for 2017-2018, will experience Mass for the first time at Guardian Angels School! It will be a wonderful celebration welcoming them to our school. We are blessed and excited to welcome these new students and their families to our community.
We will also celebrate our prayer partners for this school year at Thursday's Mass. This is a meaningful program that pairs our second grade students with parishioners so they can pray for one another throughout the school year. Second grade is an important year as students celebrate the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Having their prayer partners spiritually guide them throughout these important milestones helps them recognize the importance of the Sacraments and shows them how the entire Guardian Angels Parish community supports one another in each member's faith filled journey.
Additionally, I am excited to welcome all our grandparents to school on Friday for grandparents day! It will be a wonderful celebration of very special people in our students' lives. Our prayer service will begin at 9:30. Students will meet their grandparents in the gathering space between 9:15 and 9:25. Older students will pick up younger siblings from their classrooms and walk over together. Students with names A-M should meet grandparents on the left side of the Gathering Space and students with last names N-Z should meet grandparents on the right side. Classrooms will be open for grandparents to visit following the prayer service.
Finally, I look forward to another exciting musical experience tonight at our annual Spring Concert! Students have been working very hard, and I know we will be delighted with another fantastic performance by all groups. Thank you to Mr. Diehl and Mrs. Leach for their dedication in assisting our students achieve excellent success in the Fine Arts!
God Bless,

School Supply Orders For 2017-2018
It is that time of the year to think about next school year's school supplies. This year everyone who would like to order their supplies from School Tool Box can do so online. Each Spring,  the PTA works with individual teachers to create a school supply kit to purchase for the coming year. It offers a convenience for parents to have all of your child's needed items collected and ready for the start of class. Kits are delivered to school for parents to pick up before school starts. Participation in this program is not required.
This year these orders are to be placed between May 3rd and June 16th. Supplies will be available to be picked up on August 13th from 9:00am-12:30pm in the undercroft. If you are unable to pick-up your order, please make arrangements to have your order picked up. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Singleton.
Proceeds from these orders benefit the GA PTA. Additional instructions for ordering online can be found here.
