This week we were happy to have been able to put some corn in your boxes. Although it was small, it was very tasty! That corn went through a lot. It was planted in March and had a really slow start, then in May it was hit really hard by that late frost. Our IPM scout was sure it would die, then by the grace of JAH it snapped out of it and began to regrow. We knew it was no bumper crop, but we were eager to see what it would do and we let it grow. This crop was the earliest corn we have ever had by 10 days. Our IPM scout said that only 1 other farm in the state had corn ready when we did. We hope that you enjoy this little taste of our corn and want you to know that there is more coming your way for July 4th...
We would really appreciate that
everyone purchase their Winter Season CSA share now! This is the time of the year when we spend loads of money on labor and we appreciate your financial contributions more than ever.
We must keep the money flowing in from the CSA, Farmers Markets, Restaurants and Wholesalers. We cannot afford any lulls in the cash flow...
What are you doing this weekend? Why not come to the Brigantine Farmers Market and visit our booth on Saturday.
Don't forget to come to the Margate Farmers Markets on Thursdays!!!
