Garlic, apart of the Allium family with onions and leeks, is native to central Asia and has been grown for over 5000 years. This clove-filled veggie was an important part of Ancient Egyptian culture and was revered in India for its medical uses. Garlic's medicinal benefits include being anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral, so it has much better chances of warding of a cold than a vampire. To increase the health benefits offered by garlic, let chopped or crushed cloves sit on the counter for a minute or two before adding it to a dish.To store this pungent powerhouse, keep the bulbs in a cool dark place away from sunlight.

Morel is a farm-to-table restaurant  located in Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood. It's the brainchild of Chef Jonathan Manyo, a Wisconsin native. Jonathan wanted to shed light on the amazing food that's locally grown (including some of LotFotL's), raised, and produced in Wisconsin through a unique selection of menu items. Dishes include things like braised rabbit with mizuna and nectarine; beef cheek with kohlrabi, hedgehog mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, and bacon; and lamb with eggplant and lamb bacon.
