Are You Prepared for an Emergency?

It is critical that all residents have a plan in case of disasters. It is even more important for people with access and functional needs to take the proper steps to prepare themselves in the event of a disaster or other emergency.

Week Three: What happens to my pet or service animal?
People who have pets must have a plan during a disaster that includes those pets. The Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards Act of 2006 requires that state and local emergency plans address the needs of individuals with pets. Service animals are not pets and all shelters must allow service animals.
