What's Happening in DeWitt?
The DeWitt Chamber & Development Company (DCDC) is excited to bring you the 4th Annual DCDC Member's Choice Awards! Initiated to honor and bring awareness to DCDC members for their successes and overall support of our community's vitality!
Vote for your favorite DCDC members in five unique categories. The nomination period will run between Thursday, May 18th and Thursday, May 25th (survey will close at 11:59PM). The top 5 (or more if there is a tie) nominations in each category will be presented to the community for a final vote between Thursday, June 1st and Thursday, June 8th. We ask that you only vote once per person and we thank you for participating in the voting process!
Library Building Expansion Project
Architects from FEH Design will be on site all day in the community center creating conceptual designs of what the
future library design could look like with the expansion project. Community members are encouraged to stop by
any time between 9am to 6pm to view the conceptual designs, share ideas, and provide feedback.
There will be presentations at noon and at 6pm on both May 17th & May 18th. On Thursday, May 25th, the public
is also invited to attend a meeting at 6pm in the library to vote on the design they'd like the Library Board and the
City to adopt.

Summer Lunch Box Program
Your family qualifies for a weekly summer lunch box kit if: 1. You have children 2. You live in the Central DeWitt
Community School District. You don't need to be a client to qualify! You can pick-up a kit once a week through the
program. Please sign up at the Referral Center as soon as possible. The Referral Center is open Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The program is available

Library Building Expansion Project Public Advisory Task Force
Please join the Library Board and FEH Design for our final public meeting for the conceptual design phase of the
building expansion project. At this meeting, members of the public will be invited to vote for their favorite design in
which they hope the library board and city will adopt for the next phase of the project.

Experience the Elbe River on a small boat cruise tour from Berlin, Germany, to Prague, Czech Republic, with Siegel and her sister. Many of the sites they visited were connected with World War II and Martin Luther. Siegel will share stories she heard firsthand from those who experi-enced them. The year 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation of the Lutheran Church.
