OTC Medicine Give-Away :

SET-UP - Thursday, March 9, 2017

Unload Truck, Setup, and Stock Tables - 4:00pm - 7:00pm
NC MedAssist is looking for volunteers to help unload boxes of medications and other supplies, setup tables and chairs, and stock medicine tables.

EVENT - Friday, March 10, 2017 - 7:00am - 3:00pm

All Day Volunteers:   Customer Engagement, Crowd Control, Pharmacist/Nursing Consultant, Registration, Restock/Inventory Control,  Shopper,  Volunteer Hospitality Coordinator,  Clean Up and Break Down.

FOR ALL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:  Closed toe shoes are required. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift to complete a volunteer application and receive training. Thank you for all your help!



Saturday, Mar 4 - Foster Parents/Parents Day Out from 1 - 7pm.  Pre-Registration Required.  This program is in partnership with Catawba County DSS Family Builders.  See Karen, Drema, Nora, Brenda, Josh or the Pastor to register.   Needed for Parent's Day Out:  Snacks, drinks, meal 5-6pm, DVD movies and Prayer .

Friday, Mar 10 - Greater Hickory CCM's OTC Medicine Give-Away from 7:00am - 3:00pm -  In partnership with NC MedAssist and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry is hosting the Over-the-Counter Medicine Give-Away Day for Catawba County adults and children in need. Over $120,000 in OTC medications will be given away at NO COST during this event. Aspirin, children's cough syrup, allergy medicine and vitamins are just a few items given to families who need assistance. One goal of the event is to help alleviate the strain on the area's healthcare systems by providing medications to those who normally use the emergency room for reasons such as fever, minor pain relief and treating cold and flu symptoms. Each participant can select up to 10 items (two from each category) at NO COST. No I.D. is required, but recipients must be 18 years of age or older.
