Volunteers Needed for the OTC Medicine Give-Away - Mar 10th
Unload Truck, Setup, and Stock Tables - 4:00pm - 7:00pm
NC MedAssist is looking for volunteers to help unload boxes of medications and other supplies, setup tables and chairs, and stock medicine tables.
EVENT - Friday, March 10, 2017 - 7:00am - 3:00pm
All Day Volunteers:
Customer Engagement, Crowd Control, Pharmacist/Nursing Consultant, Registration, Restock/Inventory Control,
Shopper,
Volunteer Hospitality Coordinator,
Clean Up and Break Down.
FOR ALL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS: Closed toe shoes are required. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift to complete a volunteer application and receive training. Thank you for all your help!

- Saturday, Mar 4 - Foster Parents/Parents Day Out from 1 - 7pm. Pre-Registration Required. This program is in partnership with Catawba County DSS Family Builders. See Karen, Drema, Nora, Brenda, Josh or the Pastor to register. Need's for Parent's Day Out: Snacks, drinks, meal 5-6pm, DVD movies and Prayer.

Friday, Mar 10 - Greater Hickory CCM's OTC Medicine Give-Away from 7:00am - 3:00pm -
In partnership with NC MedAssist and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry is hosting the Over-the-Counter Medicine Give-Away Day for Catawba County adults and children in need. Over $120,000 in OTC medications will be given away at NO COST during this event. Aspirin, children's cough syrup, allergy medicine and vitamins are just a few items given to families who need assistance. One goal of the event is to help alleviate the strain on the area's healthcare systems by providing medications to those who normally use the emergency room for reasons such as fever, minor pain relief and treating cold and flu symptoms. Each participant can select up to 10 items (two from each category) at NO COST. No I.D. is required, but recipients must be 18 years of age or older.
- Saturday, Mar 11 - Fellowship Breakfast @ Four Peas in a Pod starting at 9:00am. Restaurant is located at 426 Conover Blvd W, Conover NC 28613. Please RSVP to Claudette, Becky or email [email protected] giving the number attending. Fellowship will pay for the beverages for all attending. You will be responsible for the rest of your bill.
- Sunday, Mar 19 - Covered Dish Sunday. Please bring your favorite dish and/or dessert and plan to stay for lunch immediately following the morning service.
- Sunday, Mar 26 - Youth Sunday. We will be incorporating our Youth into our service this Sunday. They will be responsible for many of the leadership positions during this Sunday such as Preaching, Ushers, Leading Music, Offering, etc. If interested in helping this Sunday please see Joshua Sims as he will be coordinating all assignments and also Preaching that Sunday Morning. Please keep our youth and our youth department in your prayers as it continues to grow.
- Sunday, Apr 2 - Unifour will be featuring - The Andrew Chambers Band as our guest musicians during the morning service. Make plans to attend and invite your friends & family for this special event!
