Weekly Letter From Our Pastor

Overcoming Bitterness = Forgiveness
How easy is it to forgive? I don't know about you, but I struggle with it. In Matthew, chapter 18, Peter asks Jesus if it is enough to forgive someone seven times, and Jesus tells him a parable about "the Unforgiving Servant". As the people of God, we are called to be counter-cultural in many ways, but specifically in forgiving. I am excited to talk with you this Sunday about ways to put forgiveness into practice and begin to live it out.

In Christ

Living Water: Thanksgiving Bonus
Last Friday it was absolutely amazing to see how many people lived into their faith during the playground build, lifting, shoveling, laughing, hustling, praying, helping...one and all, serving others through Christ.  What a great church we have!

CORE: Rake & Run - October 25th
What to do when we can't get into the building for CORE?  Move CORE out into the community!  This Wednesday CORE kids will be walking from the CMS over to Faith Lutheran in Cameron where we'll meet up with their MS Youth for a community SERVING OTHERS project.  Once we've finished snack & a quick game or two, we'll grab rakes and begin randomly helping families in the community with leaves to rake.  CHURCH:  PLEASE HELP US OUT BY LOANING US YOUR RAKE!   Rakes may be brought to church this Sunday or dropped off at Faith in Cameron next week.  Please remember to write your name on it!
LW Parking Lot Closure
Note:  weather permitting, the LW parking lot will be closed for the week beginning Monday, October 23rd, for our fall paving project.  All meetings and programming will be either moved off-site or rescheduled.  Thanks for your patience!
Thank You!
Thank You to everyone that donated to the Browns from Cameroon.  I was able to raise over $1,100 from Cinnamon Roll Sunday.  I was glad to be able to help such an incredible mission.    -Lacy Johnson

New Women's Group:
"Living A Life Of Worship"

Starting in October, Lindsey Kolpack will be leading a new group through Sarah Young's, "Living a Life of Worship," an excellent resource for discovering how thankfulness and worship always open the door for entering into God's presence and blessings. Even the most routine part of the day can be a spiritual act of worship when you are living close to God, and seeing from His perspective will allow you to truly be able to "give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).  Sign up at Clipboard Central to purchase a book & become part of this 8-week study!
Needed: One Men's Bicycle
I have a need for one men's bicycle for a young man who does not have a car.  I don't need anything fancy.  Just a men's bike that has tires that hold air.

Meet the Living Water Family of the Week
Names: Bryan & Connie Larson

Something interesting about our household:
We have four dogs (just recently got our 4th) and we love to travel.
How we became connected to Living Water:
We were referred to Ned for pre-marriage classes and he invited us to check out the church the following Sunday and we did. He then invited our daughter to go on the mission trip that next week-which she reluctantly went- but when she came back she said "we are totally joining that church!" and five years later we're still here and loving it!
What we like about Living Water:
Well as everyone says-Ned. He's a very special person! The church also gives a very family oriented feel -everyone comes together in the time of need and there are opportunities for everyone to be involved with the church! It is truly a blessing to be a part of this family!
