Weekly Letter From Our Pastor

Sunday Church:  "Thank An Officer"
This weekend we have the privilege of raising up the men and women of our community on whom we rely heavily in times of crisis.  Sherriff Chris Fitzgerald and Cameron Police Chief Mike Lynch will be up front with me during Sunday's message, talking about the connections we have in faith, community and law enforcement.  All proceeds from the Pancake Brunch afterwards - Cali Romsos' Serving Others Project -  will be going to Barron County's First Responder program.
Satellite Worship:  Update
For those who are newer to Living Water, you may not have heard that we are preparing to live stream our worship to partner churches in Western Wisconsin who do not have or cannot afford a pastor.  Since announcing the Satellite Worship project last May we have been working closely with the 3-5 churches expressing interest.  As soon as a firm commitment is made by the first of these churches we will move forward with equipment installation and training.  Our hope is that God will use this project to help us build more mission partnerships and discover new ways of serving others through Christ.
New Fall Preaching Series:  Begins September 24
Last Sunday Marianne Tiffany announced this Fall's new Women's Bible Study:  "Simplify," that will be starting next Wednesday, September 20.  Very closely connected to that topic is our new Fall Preaching Series, "Overcomer."   Life can at times be so overwhelming.  Where do we even start at getting a handle on what matters most and taking the first steps to getting there?  Invite your friends and family to join you in uncovering that answer.
Living for Jesus!

Living Water: Thanksgiving Bonus
I am so excited to be part of a church that reaches high and believes that God can do miracles!

Chicken Coop Church:
Spreading Its Wings
What a fun surprise we had at the Coop last Sunday evening.  Bishop's Assistant Laurie Skow-Anderson was in the house, along with a special guest from the ELCA headquarters in Chicago.  It was fun being able to thank them in person for all their love and support and prayers that help make CCC possible.  Jesus loves you!   -Pr. Peter
JAM (Jesus And Me)
Welcome back to JAM! This weekend is a special first weekend for JAM. It is Thank an officer! We will have a special presentation from a police officer for all of our JAM kids during Sunday School. We will then make thank you notes for police officers. We look forward to seeing all of our jammers smiling faces this Sunday!
September 20th - Road Trip!
CORE families - this Wednesday we have the huge privilege of visiting the farm of Mark and Diane Bowers, ministry partners at Living Water.  We'll check out some of the amazing things the Bowers do with their land to create habitat, while helping with the Fall Pumpkin Harvest - all of which will be donated to Living Water.  Drivers needed!  Please contact Pr. Ned at ned.livingwater@gmail.com if you can join us next Wednesday.
Thank An Officer Brunch
We are so excited to be hosting our local law enforcement this weekend!  While the adults take part in a conversation with Sheriff Fitzgerald and Chief Lynch, the JAM kids will be outside looking at a variety of vehicles they use, learning about the important role they play in keeping our communities safe.  After worship we have an awesome FREE pancake brunch for everyone.  All donations will go towards Barron County's First Responder Program. See you Sunday!
Miracle Sunday- It Happened!
Church, you did it.  We did it.  God worked through our prayers and passions to make Living Water's very first Miracle Sunday an overwhelming success.  At last count our total was inching close to $48,000 received in pledges, gifts, and cash, with more coming in every day.  And we learned this:  the biggest miracle of all was how God worked on our hearts, opening them up so He could pour into us His Spirit of generosity and love, compassion and faith.  The miracles were multiplied, and for that we say thanks to you and thanks to our amazing God.  God is good!

Change happens in circles, not rows.  That wisdom is given expression best in the groups we form at Living Water where life is shared with a few other trusted companions on the journey.  This fall I'm inviting each of you to consider starting or joining a group at Living Water.  Financial Peace, Women's Wednesday evening book/bible study, Fermenting Faith, Women's Small Groups....in addition to the one you are thinking of starting but have just been waiting for the right time or nudge.  Here is your nudge because the time is now!  Kickoff Sunday, Sept. 10 there will be clipboards in abundance.  If nothing else, take an empty one and create your own group.  Topic...curriculum...resources...don't worry about that.  We've got plenty.  We just need you to be the spark that lights the fire for change in the world that God loves and where you live.  Questions?  Give me a call!
N ew Fall Preaching Series: Starting Sunday, September 24th

New Ministry Opportunity: Tech Geek Needed
Did you know your church has a Giving Kiosk back by the Living Water CafĂ©?  It's a place many of us stop by to make our weekly offerings & tithes to support the work of God's church.  What we need is a LW Ministry partner to help us with keeping it updated and in good repair.  If you're willing to take a stab at it, please email us at:  livingwatercameron@gmail.com

Meet the Living Water Family of the Week
Names:  Greg, Laurie and Addy Adams, Jim Adams
Something interesting about our household:
We are a family of educators. Jim (Greg's dad) was a science and math
teacher in Chetek for 28 years. Greg teaches at Chippewa Falls High  School. Laurie teaches at Cameron Middle/High School. Addy attends Cameron  High School. As a family we love campfires, bowling, dinner outings, and  tending to our five "diva" chickens.
How we became connected to Living Water:
As a Cameron teacher, Laurie is blessed to work with Tom Moon whose
persistence in inviting got us to try Living Water initially. Greg also  taught Pastor Ned's daughter, Clara, at Chi-Hi, which furthered our  connection to Living Water and convinced us we were meant to become part  of this church family!
What we like about Living Water:
The music is a big draw, of course; however, the welcoming atmosphere and emphasis on genuinely serving rather than merely becoming a "member" are key to our love for Living Water. We truly appreciate the informal, come-as-you-are, family-friendly worship setting.
