PE and Art Classes Switched
For this week only, PE and art classes will be switched. Therefore, art classes will be on Monday and PE classes will be on Wednesday. Students should wear their PE uniforms to school on Wednesday instead of Monday insha'Allah.
Field Day
Field day is being organized by the ILM Academy Student Council, which is requesting parent volunteers to assist with leading some of the games/activities on the day of. Please email us if you can volunteer next Monday.
Odyssey World Finals Fundraising
For the first time in our school's history, one of our teams has succeeded into going to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals held in Ames, Iowa at the end of May. They will be one of over 800 teams competing from around the world at the 35th annual World finals. Some portions of the registration fees and trip cost for the team of 6 students and one coach will be covered by the school. For the remainder of the funds, we are collecting donations from the rest of the school and student organizations such as Student Council. As of right now, the cost of registration and dorming for the team is up to $3,885, with more expected expenses to accumulate. Please help us send our first ever World Finals team to the international platform by assisting with these costs by writing a check to "ILM Academy" or giving cash donations.

Shoe Drive
It's time to do some spring cleaning! We'll be holding a shoe drive through Soles4Souls, an organization which donates shoes to those in need of them. Please bring in shoes that can be used by others to donate throughout the week. Also, please bring a dollar to contribute toward the shipping cost of the shoes.
PTA Elections
Elections for next year's officers will be held on Monday, May 5. Please email in your nominations for the positions to [email protected]. The positions are:
- President: Duties include but are not limited to overseeing of PTA tasks, initiating plans for events/activities, delegating duties for PTA and school wide events.
- Vice President: Duties include but are not limited to assisting the president with his/her duties.
- Secretary: Duties include but are not limited to keeping record of meeting minutes.
- Treasurer: Duties include but are not limited to collecting and keeping record of lunch and shirt payments and other fundraising activities led by PTA.

If you have not signed up already please download the app on your phone and start scanning grocery receipts. It's a simple way of helping ILM Academy raise money. We have already made more than $50 from simply scanning receipts! The more people we sign up, the more money the school can raise!
