Welcome Ramadan

Ramadan Kit

The ILM Academy World Finals qualifying team competed this week in the international competition and placed 25th out of 54 teams in their division's problem. Masha'Allah, the months of hard work by the students, the dedication of their parents, the sacrifices of their coach, and the support of all the school families really shone in their success. Insha'Allah this is the first of a lifetime of grand achievements for the students of our school.

Enjoyed using the atrium roundabout for drop off and pick up this week? So have we! Please continue to use it through these last few days of school and remember to drive safely and courteously.

News & Announcements

PE and Karate Classes Switched

PE and karate classes will be switched on Monday and Tuesday. Therefore, students will have karate classes on Monday (including Montessori students) and PE classes on Tuesday. Students should bring their karate uniforms on Monday.

No Art Classes

There will be no art classes this Wednesday.

School PTA Lunches

As scheduled, there will be pasta lunch on Monday if your child signed up for it at the start of the semester. This will be the last lunch of the semester as on Tuesdays students bring lunch from home and on Wednesday there will be no lunch due to early dismissal.

Early Dismissal on Wednesday

There will be early dismissal for ALL students on Wednesday at 11:45, this includes ECC students. There will be no after school care. The latest students can be picked up from school is 12:10.

Uniform Donations

If your child has outgrown ILM Academy uniform items (polos trousers, embroidered shirts and blouses, jumpers, etc.) and you are interested in donating them to other students, please drop them off in the atrium this Monday. Please feel free to come in to school in the next few days to look through the items for your children. All leftover uniforms will be donated.

Lost and Found

Please take a final look through the lost and found bin in the main hallway of the school before school ends. All items left in it will be donated on the last day of school.

Financial Aid

You can now apply for financial aid for the 2014-2015 academic year if you have children in Montessori or higher grade levels. The financial aid application is due by Friday, June 20. To begin your financial aid application, please follow the link from our website by clicking here. You will notice that we are using a new service called TADS, a national reputable enrollment, tuition, and financial aid management system which will make the process more efficient.

Head Lice Case

There has been one case of head lice in an ILM Academy student. It did not necessarily originate from the school, however we will be vigilant as we always are in enforcing school policies of no hats and will also ensure students are not sharing combs or headscarves. Please also talk to your child at home about hygiene. Thank you.

Save the Date: ILM Academy Iftaar

We will be holding our annual iftaar for families across the community this Ramadan on Saturday, July 5. Please save the date in your calendar. More information is coming soon!

PTA Elections

PTA elections will be held this Monday, June 2 at 2:00pm. Please attend the meeting to vote for who you believe will be best to serve in the positions of president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer.

If you have not signed up already please download the app on your phone and start scanning grocery receipts. It's a simple way of helping ILM Academy raise money. We have already made $100 from simply scanning receipts! The more people we sign up, the more money the school can raise!

Welcome Ramadan - Sisters Classes

At the ISGH NW-SBIC community hall, Srs. Farhat Shamsi and Uzma Baig will be holding multiple classes on preparing for Ramadan and understanding the Quran. Please refer to this flier to see more information on timings and how to RSVP for your attendance.

Free Ramadan Kit

Once again, the Mini Mu'min website is offering a free Ramadan kit for your child to enjoy throughout the blessed month. Please click here to download the worksheets, coloring books, charts, and more.
