WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
FROM
ST. JOHN'S

May 16-22, 2018

NEW! Message from your Search Team, May 15, 2018

Through the stories you shared about your life at St. John's, we were able to find a number of overriding and consistent themes at all three of the Congregational meetings. Within the stories, we realized what is most important in our/your lives at St. John's.

Your input allowed us to easily answer what we viewed to be the hardest of the 12 questions for our Parish Profile. We plan to have them all posted by June 1.

HAGAR'S BASKET NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Sixty families will be visiting Hagar's Basket this week for much needed supplies. We desperately need to restock all items, including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bath soap, toilet tissue, shaving cream, disposable razors, body lotion, laundry detergent, diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, and deodorants. Without your generous donations, this worthy ministry can not continue. Thank you for your support!
School will be out soon which means our clients will need even more food to keep the children fed since they will no longer have school lunches. Thank you for your continued generosity.

The Loaves and Fishes pantry needs pasta and pasta sauce, saltine crackers, canned fruit, pinto and northern beans, and canned salmon.
Do you believe in the powerful ministry of prayer? Do you love it when God answers your prayers? Please consider joining our intercessory prayer group! Pray at home, meet once a month for lunch! Email Anna-Louise Fitzgerald at allwfitz379@gmail.com to find out more.
Wednesday Night Book Club - June Meeting

The next Wednesday Night Book Club is on Wednesday, June 6, at 6:00pm in Room 204/205. We will be discussing Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. Since there is no dinner here at the church that evening, it will be a "brown bag book club", so feel free to bring your dinner with you.

The Wednesday Night Book Club is open to anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a newcomer to book clubs, or involved in several others, you are most certainly invited and encouraged to join us. And if you cannot attend our June session, we hope you will keep an eye out for information when we resume our meetings in August!

NO EYC this Sunday night, May 20th.
