"We have changed our name! Not because we wanted to, but in our haste and ignorance of trademark law, we unknowingly named ourselves the same name as another business, and they understandably wanted us to change it. After pulling our hair and gnashing our teeth and tossing and turning on tear-stained pillows, we finally arrived at our new name: Meriwether Cider Company. We decided to name the cidery in honor of our ancestor Meriwether Lewis who, on August 12, 1805, along with William Clark became the first non-native American to cross the continental divide into present day Idaho. Now 200 years later with the same pioneering spirit our family is bringing craft cider to Boise!"

Watch for Tap Takeovers with some great deals! "These events go from 4pm to 6pm, but we always have the tap takeover beers on all day the day of the event. If they last long enough we keep them on tap all weekend. During the event we offer a fill one growler and get your second one for half off. We also do stamp cards on an everyday basis that are fill 5, get one 1/2 off and we still put stamps on the card during this event promotion. On top of all of that, during the month of May we are giving growlers away for free, so if customers don't show up with containers of their own they don't have to worry about paying the growler fee. It will only be the beer price they have to pay." Check out the great deals!
