Boise Brew Minute (episode 56) - Zack at  County Line Brewing  talks about fruit beers, specifically their Raspberry Brown ale. The  berries are local  and are in the fermenter within 90 minutes of being picked. Putting the berries directly in the beer is a different approach than we heard about a few weeks ago at  Hi-Fi Brewing  where they use tinctures. Zack explains why they opted to go this route.

" We recently did two collaboration brews with our friends at Three Creeks Brewing Co. in Sisters, OR. Some of our guys drove to Sisters to brew Juniper Rising Rye Saison. Golden hued, light bodied Belgian Saison with fruity esters and subtle earthy aromas from the addition of hand picked Oregon juniper berries. Just a few days after the brew in Oregon, the Three Creeks guys drove to Boise to brew another batch, Yam It Feels Good to be a Thankster Brown Ale brewed with yams, Turbinado Sugar and many bags of marshmallows.  Come say hi to Payette sales rep, Matt Bull, for an exclusive chance to try these beers alongside finger food pairings at Saint Lawrence Gridiron."
