Over the past 3 years, Alefort has represented over a dozen local breweries and craft beer stores by featuring everything from small, limited batches of specialty brews to a brewery's mainstay beers.

Beer tokens are $2.50, and each token is redeemable for an 8oz sample.

This year we will have a new component of Alefort that is meant to promote Boise's beer culture beyond just beer tasters. This beer-posium will highlight the craft beer industry as a unique contributor to Boise's cultural identity and economic development.

This is FREE to the public and we encourage those to come who want to learn all aspects of the beer industry. This will include material relevant to brewers, servers, bartenders, and consumers. This event will serve as a forum that will provide information necessary for the growth of an individual, restaurant, brewery, and community.  Presentations will include: Cicerone certification, beer quality assessment, proper beer service, draft system maintenance, along with best practices for a variety of service situations.

There will be two breakout sessions:

1. The Economic Challenges and Benefits to Craft Brewing
2. Tips on how to be Environmentally Sustainable in the Craft Beer Industry

This is a new venue for collaboration and innovation in entrepreneurship. 

The Beer-posium is made possible through the sponsorship of Washington Trust Bank. Another piece of news to share is that the largely followed beer journalist, Ashley V Rouston will be covering Alefort and visiting Boise as a beer tourist to assess our unique scene and report what we have to offer. Her trip is being funded by the Idaho State Department of Tourism.
