... Or attitudes, but Sparta Presbyterian Church is experiencing a change in its leadership. Longtime minister, Reverend Bruce Benton retired last month and a new minister will soon be hired to lead and continue the ministry of the church. In a Presbyterian church, Ruling Elders (Session) and Teaching Elders (Pastor) together are responsible for the life of a congregation as well as the whole church, including ecumenical relationships. Therefore, during this period of transition, Session members are responsible for all church-related issues and activities in the community. If you have a question &/or need assistance, please call the church office at 336-372-5045. The Church Secretary, Norma Whitfield is available during regular office hours (9:00 am - 12 noon, Monday - Wednesday). If you call during this time, she will convey your message to the appropriate person as quickly as possible.
