St. Norbert Community Summer Camp.
This camp is open to children from PK-8th Grade. Campers will be engaged in language arts, crafts, science, art, games and cooking activities based on the theme of that week's session.
This week the First Grade presented their transportation reports. They did an awesome job! They presented their projects with such knowledge and grace and I am so very proud of them. Their presentations showed how much they have grown in knowledge. In nine short months their reading skills and technology skills have advanced greatly. What a wonderful class of First Graders I have! ~ Mrs. Korom Click HERE for photos from the 1st Grade Field Trip to the Strasburg Railroad.
1st Grade Collects for Charities
The First Grade has been very busy all year donating to different charities. The final donation of the year is to the cereal drive. The first grade is donating over 20 boxes of cereal. We have learned so much about helping those in need and we have worked hard to practice our faith by helping those who are less fortunate than we are.
3rd Grade Publishing Center
The Third Grade finished their Publishing Center experience with a celebration in the library. Mrs. Hennessy read a few of the books to everyone. The children wrote an original story, volunteers helped them to edit their story, then the children illustrated their books. The students received a copy of their book to take home. A second copy of their book stays in the library for the whole school to enjoy. A big thank you goes to Mrs. Perretta, who runs the whole program. The third graders love this experience! Click HERE for photo.
4th Grade Poetry
Every year the Fourth Grade memorizes and performs a poem for an oral presentation. This year we had a stage with lights and an audience to watch our performances! What an amazing event it was! Click HERE for a video of our performance.
4th, 5th & 6th Grade Field Trip
This week 4th, 5th, 6th grades went to the Elmwood Park Zoo for a field trip. Some students had the opportunity to feed giraffes while others got to see what it's like to have birds land on their heads and arms. Here we see a few of the animals that escaped their enclosure and had time to pose for a picture. Click HERE for photo.
7th & 8th Grade visit Washington DC
This week our 7th and 8th grade students had a memorable trip to our nation's capital. Highlights included visits to our Capitol and the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Click HERE for photos.
The Broadcast Club students used an iPad to make a fun time-lapse behind-the-scenes video of our last Broadcast Club for this School year. You'll need to be logged into Google with your School Google account to see the video.
