The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are welcome.

Youth Mission Team heads to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida Sunday, June 17th and will return on Saturday, June 23rd. Hearts of Palm is an interdenominational mission host site for youth to put their faith into action through serving. They will be housed on the campus of St. Mark's Episcopal Church & School. Please pray for our Youth Mission Team!

Coffee Hour Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to help with our Coffee Hour ministry held each Sunday after the 10:00 worship service. This ministry gives members and visitors a chance to fellowship with each other over coffee and snacks. If you are willing to help out on a rotating basis (approximately once every 2 months), please contact

| And Great News from the DR Team in Tifton! |

It's now only 8 days until our team leaves for the Dominican Republic. We are so grateful for the continuing stream of donations to the DR Scholarship Fund -- last week we received a total of $1,000 from four different donors. Just as soon as we return home on June 30, we will work during the first week of July to transfer all of the designated scholarship donations to the Diocese of the Dominican Republic for use during the 2018-19 school year in the Episcopal school in El Pedregal, our mission field since our first trip in 2001.
As you might remember, our DR mission team is one of four active teams in the Diocese of Georgia. This past week the DR team at St. Anne's (Tifton) received the wonderful news that the church they have been working to construct for the past seven years has now been completed, and that the dedication of that building for the congregation of Espíritu Santo (Holy Spirit) in the village of Las Carreras has been scheduled for October 20, 2018. A large delegation from St. Anne's plans to travel to the Dominican Republic to take part in this historic event. Our team leaders, Julia and Julius Ariail, will also be there as photographers.
