Kids Rule the School Day was Wednesday, April 5th. Students enjoyed leading the school. A great time was had by all.

Science Day 
Science and Health and Wellness Day is scheduled for Wednesday, 
April 19th.  Our campus will once again be filled with animals, science experiments, guest speakers, workshops and activities which will highlight a variety of science and health awareness topics. All students will partake in a fun-filled, educational and hands-on day of exploring and celebrating science and wellness. Parents will share their science-related professions and faculty will share their science passion with our students. Local organizations will also be on campus to present. 
This year, Science Day will occur on our half day of school. We plan to begin our program at 8:30 AM and we will have a regular Wednesday dismissal.  If you are interested in presenting a workshop at Science Day 2017, please contact me via e-mail or on my personal cell phone 415-205-7083. If you know of someone who may be a good fit as a presenter, please share this  information  or put them in touch with me directly.

Some Teacher Auction Items still for sale - Wednesday, May 10
One of Armstrong's new and beloved traditions is the Teacher Auction Items.  On an early dismissal day Armstrong faculty offer an opportunity for Armstrong students to join them for a memorable out of class experience.  Each student can only do ONE activity on May 10 th .
To sign up - contact Jill Jacobson in the Development Office by calling 650-592-7570 ext 1265, emailing  jjacobson@charlesarmstrong.org  or stopping by the Admin Offices in Room 1.  Payment can be made with a check, cash or on a credit card.  Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Each student can only do ONE activity on May 10th.

The Lion King, Jr. is Coming to Armstrong May 5th and 6th! 
Get ready to have some fun with Simba, Nala, Timon, Simba, Mufasa, Scar, Rafiki, and the whole jungle gang, as Armstrong brings  Disney's The Lion King, Jr. to life at 
Bayside Performing Arts Center in San Mateo,
Friday, May 5th at 7pm, and Saturday, May 6th at 6pm.
Tickets will go on sale to parents of Drama students (MS and LS performers) on
April 17th, and to the general community on
April 19th. Look for emails alerting you when each of these sales open, which will direct you to our online ticketing system. You may also purchase tickets at the door both nights! Tickets are
$10.00 each.
All students will attend a complimentary community matinee of the production on the morning of
Friday, May 5th.

2017 Summer Camp Calendar

Summer School and Summer Camp Registration

As a reminder, in order to ensure availability for your child, please register and make payment for the Charles Armstrong Summer School Program as soon as possible.   Registration has opened to the outside community.  Enrollment will then be contingent upon space available.  You may register now by clicking here and completing the registration form.   *Full payment is due at the time of registration.
Dates of Summer School: July 5, 2017 - July 28, 2017 for rising 2nd-7th graders 
Morning Academic Program - includes Language Arts, Math and Strength-Based classes
8:30 - 12:30, Monday -Friday
Tuition is $2,750
Afternoon Camp Program
12:30pm - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Tuition is $1,650
The afternoon camp may only be selected when enrolling in the Morning Academic Program.
*If you are currently awarded financial aid with Charles Armstrong, your child's summer school tuition will also be eligible for financial aid at the percentage rate of your current award.  If this applies to your family, please contact Madonna Uyenoyama in the business office at 650-592-7570 x1228 to assist you in calculating your summer school tuition payment.  For any other questions regarding Summer School, please contact Regina Lewis at 650-592-7570 x 1234

 Please sign into Student Services prior to going to your child's classroom or anytime you're on campus. 
You are required to sign in at Student Services for safety reasons. Also, we appreciate knowing ahead of time if your child needs to leave early. This will help minimize interruptions during the school days.

Please write your child's name
and classroom # on all
sweatshirts and jacket!!
Each week the bin is emptied.
Labeled clothing is washed and
returned to the classrooms.
Clothing that is not labeled is
donated to the Uniform Bank.

Please remember to phone in your child's absence to the Attendance Line at 650-592-7570 Option 1 by 9:00am each day your child is absent, going to be late, or out of the classroom for testing or vacation. Please State:
1) Child's Name
2) Child's Classroom
3) Reason for Absence

Important Safety Reminder:
For the safety of our students, please remember they must
exit your car at drop-off only from the passenger side. 
Please  DO NOT
 use cell phones when driving onto campus.

Team Teaching
