Highlights from the 2017 Economic Forecast

Dr. Jim Jacobs, Macomb Community College president, started his last Economic Forecast for Macomb County by saying, "Clearly Michigan has begun a recovery." For nearly 45 minutes he talked about growth in Macomb County.

He forecasted future growth as hinging on three points:  1) Opportunities for new residents, who are largely immigrants; 2) Continued diversification and expansion regionally; and, 3) Expanding our civic culture.  We wish Dr. Jacobs well with his forthcoming retirement and look forward to continuing future Economic Forecasts with David Sowerby of Loomis, Sayles & Co.
