Saint James United Methodist Church Newsletter   -   August 2, 2012

Come discover what it really means to LIVE!
Starting August 12th we will begin a new message series based on the book of Philippians as we explore what it means to really live!
Traditional Worship:

The Glorious Attributes of God

Sunday, August 5- This Sunday Lead Pastor Allen Newton will be preaching in the traditional service on the theme, "Portrait of God." His scriptual basis will be the beloved verse,

John 3:16. Let's pack the church again and pray for our loving Father to pour out Showers of Blessings upon us as we worship our Lord! The choir will be singing a beautiful song, "I'll Be There", and we will serve Holy Communion.

Studying Paul's Letter to the Philppians

Beginning August 12th, Walter Albritton will be teaming up with Allen Newton to preach on great themes from the Letter to the Philppians. During this four week series we will preach on a great idea from each of the four chapters of the letter.

August 12th - Walter Albritton will be preaching on Paul's secret for living a good life.
August 19th - Trey Carey will preach out of the second chapter on "Living a Life of Integrity."
August 26th - The focus wil be "Simplicity"
September 2nd - The theme will be "Living Well in the Midst of Adversity"
These four weeks will be a good time to invite unchurched friends to come to worship with you. Pray that God will pour out His Spirit upon our whole church during these days when we hope to attract many newcomers to check out life in Christ at Saint James.

If you are new to Saint James and are looking to get more involved, join us for our next Starting Point class on Wednesday, August 29th from 6-8 pm in Guest Central. We will cover the past, present, and future of Saint James, having Q&A,

and give you a chance to meet our pastors.

Dinner and child care are available by reservation.
