Live Auction Sneak Peek!

Stallions in the Spotlight

Stallions for Wellness members gathered last Tuesday to package snack packs for parents who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Through the generous donations by Wellness members and members of National Honor Society, they prepared 150 healthy snack packs.

SFD senior Jordan Cash also attends the Delaware Area Career Center to learn about welding and fabrication. Earlier this month Jordan and two of his classmates  from the career center formed a team and  won a gold medal in the Regional Skills USA Welding Fabrication Competition.  The competition included a written test,  a verbal interview and the task to create a bookshelf with required specifications. Jordan and his team will now advance to the S tate Competition at the Columbus Convention Center on  April 24-25 .  Good luck Jordan!

Congratulations to freshman Jack Laugherty for winning the Fishing Club's fishing tournament held in New Albany last week.


At the Business Club's most recent Etiquette Module, Professional Image, Cathi Fallon, President and Founder of The Etiquette Institute of Ohio, gave critiques to the students. Reminder: The next module, Networking, will be held 
Wednesday, March 28th. 

English teacher and Head Boys Basketball coach, Mr. Murphy, stopped by St. Anthony School yesterday to participate in the 'Read with a Stallion' program. 

All of the French classes started their week off with a special visit from Chef Kathy, from the Bradford School, who prepared both chocolate and cheese fondue. Bon App├ętit!


The Library Media Center collaborated with Mrs Belt's digital photography class for a #BookFace project. #BookFace has been a national project for the last few years, and even had its own Instagram account.


Godspell This Friday and Sunday

Tickets ($10) are on sale now! Purchase your tickets outside the cafeteria during lunch periods (10:20am-12:45pm) or contact Ms. Arnett at arnett@desales.co with questions or to arrange a time to purchase tickets before or after school. 

This musical, based on the Gospel of St. Matthew, brings some of Broadway's hit songs to the stage.  Godspell  deals with the last days of Jesus' life and includes dramatized versions of several well-known proverbs. Leading the show are junior Isaac Steiger as Jesus and freshman Skyla Blumenscheid as John the Baptist/Judas. A team of dedicated and talented students round out the cast.

Got something fun planned for your Spring Break this year? Opting for a stay-cation? Either way we want to see your Spring Break twitter pictures during our SFD Spring Break Photo Challenge! Here are the rules:

1. All current SFD Students are welcome to participate.

2. To participate, you have to follow SFD on Twitter (@SFDStallions).

3. Each participant can only submit one photo, so make it appropriate and awesome and hashtag the photo #SFDSPRINGBREAKERS.

4. In your photo, you must include something DeSales related. Example: T-shirt, headgear, or any gear with the SFD and/or Stallion logo on it.

5. The winners will be announced on  Monday, April 10

6. The 1st place winner will receive a $50 Visa Gift Card and the 2nd place winner will receive a $25 Visa Gift Card.

7. The photo contest begins on  Friday, March 30 and all photos must be submitted by  April 7
