Stallions in the Spotlight

Over Spring Break, junior Leah Richards volunteered to take pictures for Honor Flight Columbus, an organization that provides our nation's senior veterans with a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit their war memorials at no cost to them. Since its creation in 2005, the Honor Flight Network has flown over 200,000 veterans (by end of 2017).
They also hold a celebration to welcome them back to Columbus.

Congratulations to senior Kyle Moon for receiving the Columbus Blue Jacket Foundation's John H. McConnell Scholarship for his outstanding leadership, character and community service!

The winner of our 2018 SFD Spring Break photo contest was Michael DeBrosse (photo at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah). Runner up was Isaiah (and Isaac) Rush at NASA in Houston. Michael received a $50 Visa gift card and Isaiah received a $25 Visa gift card.

Parking at Christian Assembly

Christian Assembly Church across the street from SFD has allowed our students who were not able to get a parking pass in the DeSales lot to park in their lot.  Students will be able to park in the row closest to Karl Road.  Students will then have to cross a very busy Karl Road.  YOU MUST CROSS AT A CROSSWALK at the Ferris Road light or the Evaline Road light.

To purchase a parking pass, students need to turn in $25 cash (which will be donated to Christian Assembly), the permission form signed by a parent and student, and a fully filled out parking permit form to Mr. Steller. Students will then receive a parking permit that must be put in the rearview mirror when parking in Christian Assembly's lot. Any student parked in the Christian Assembly lot without a DeSales parking permit will be towed at their expense.
