The top two entries will receive the $750 Margaret Ritchie Award of Excellence in fine art and the $750 Award of Excellence in photography. Three Judge's Choice ribbons of $100 each will be chosen by the judges. The competition is sponsored by Clayton Visual Arts, Inc. Entrants must be age 18 or older and do not have to be residents of Clayton. Fine art entries will be accepted in all 2-D media--painting, graphics, printmaking, mixed media, collage, fiber arts. There will be a separate photography category. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Total entries will be limited to the first 50 received, due to space considerations at the Clayton Center Gallery. Deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. Aug. 26; art delivery date is Sept. 2.

The entry fee is $35, or $25 for members of Clayton Visual Arts. Non-members who join Clayton Visual Arts ($20/year) during Art Faire will be charged the member-entry-fee of $25-for a total of $45.
