News
High School Youth Group
This month we will be meeting 2nd and 4th Sundays and not our usual days of the month
On the first and third Sundays of the month from 3:30-5 pm, our high schoolers gather to spend time with one another.

Our gatherings make space for getting to know one another and to explore our faith through times of fun and games, food and fellowship, and conversation and prayer. The High School Youth Group goes on retreats, spends extended time together in overnights at the church, and participates in mission trips.

Holly Clark, Anne Sedlack, and Peter Durin are the adults primarily involved with our high school youth group.

Again, I have warm thanks to offer.

I know the wind and sleet and school break kept some of you away from St. Alban's last Sunday, but a terrific crowd gathered to enjoy prayer, preaching and Holy Communion led by the Revs. Audrey Delafield and Tom and Mary Cushman. I've heard from them and many of you what a treat it was to worship together.

Big thanks to each of them for stepping out of the comforts of retirements to creatively share the Word and Sacraments in their unique styles.Wonderful!

And...thanks to St. Alban's and the Church Pension Group for supporting me in last week's fruitful retreat led by the CREDO team. At a beautiful center in the hills of  Arizona, I was guided in a wellness program that focused on spiritual health, vocational vibrancy, financial planning, and well-being in body and mind.

It was both a stimulating and restful time, led by national experts and included wonderful priests, young and old, men and women from around the country. CREDO is offered by the church to  priests every seven years, and I really appreciated the opportunity!  Thank you

I'm back refreshed and delighted to engage with you in all that God calls us to be in this good place.

Blessings and thanks.

Enriching Our Worship

Enriching our Worship
A parish project to enhance our
fine liturgy, worship and music
for the days ahead.
Your parish leadership invites you to join in the kick-off of an exciting inquiry at
St. Alban's on May 5th 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
Healthy lunch served and great conversation promised.

Your voice and presence are called for!

We will talk and listen, sing and pray as we
look joyfully at what we do in worship and why we do it...and then we will wonder
how God calls us forward.

Led by Ellen Johnston, Director of the Center for Liturgy and Music
at Virginia Theological Seminary

Special thanks to the Youth who are hosting coffee hour this week and next!

Helping with Coffee Hour is a simple and fun way to support
our Saint Alban's community!

Not up to hosting just yet?  That's okay, too!

Be a BAKER  Bakers are essential! Provide two baked items such as a banana bread, cookies or brownies.  (Feel free to drop off any time during the week)

 WASH A LOAD OF LAUNDRY

YOUR LAST OPPORTUNITY!
Celtic Eventide Survey
Learning About Your Experience of Adult  Spirituality, Religious Identity, and the Celtic Eventide Service

Holly Clark, our seminarian, is interested in learning more about the experience of adults in the Celtic Eventide service as a part of her studies at Yale Divinity School. The purpose of the study is to better understand the function of the Celtic Eventide service in adult spirituality and religious identity. She will use an online survey, hold a reflective writing activity after a Celtic Eventide service one evening, and conduct several interviews as a part of this project.
Please go to: this website
to read the consent form and to volunteer to take the survey. In the survey, there will be an opportunity to volunteer for th e interviews and/or reflective writing activity.
If you prefer not to take the survey online, you may obtain a hard copy of it from the table in Bonoff Hall  and return it to Holly's mailbox in the office b  y Thursday, April 19. Handwritten responses will be collated with the online surveys.
