On the first and third Sundays of the month from 3:30-5 pm, our high schoolers gather to spend time with one another.
Our gatherings make space for getting to know one another and to explore our faith through times of fun and games, food and fellowship, and conversation and prayer. The High School Youth Group goes on retreats, spends extended time together in overnights at the church, and participates in mission trips.
Holly Clark, Anne Sedlack, and Peter Durin are the adults primarily involved with our high school youth group.

Enriching Our Worship Continues!
|
St. Alban's has begun a parish-wide project to enhance and celebrate
our liturgy, worship and music for all ages and for all the seasons ahead.
And what a great beginning!
-
A group of nearly 60 parishioners spent most of Saturday, May 5
th
with a wonderful guide, Ellen Johnston--director of The Center on Liturgy and Music at Virginia Episcopal Seminary. We shared laughter and song as we worked and prayed to imagine how to enhance our worship together. So many constructive, creative, fun and faithful ideas were joyfully raised!
-
On Sunday, May 6
th
, a smaller group of about 18 parishioners met with Ellen to discuss what we had heard and to set to work to make your ideas come alive. This group will meet several times over the next 6 weeks in hopes of discerning how we might strengthen our beloved worship and music.
-
Please feel free to share your thoughts and dreams with your Enriching our Worship Working Group by email at
[email protected]
Or, if you'd prefer, Fr. Tim and/or Jim Strand will confidentially listen to any worship ideas you have!
To keep you in the loop, Notes from the two meetings and other resources can be found on the parish
website.

Helping is a simple and fun way to support
our Saint Alban's community!
Be a HOST Hosts need only bring cream for coffee and fruit. Everything else provided. Hosts set-up, maintain coffee, and clean up afterwards.
Not up to hosting just yet? That's okay, too!
Be a BAKER Bakers are essential! Provide two baked items such as a banana bread, cookies or brownies. (Feel free to drop off any time during the week)
WASH A LOAD OF LAUNDRY
Volunteers are needed to do just one load of laundry before the following Sunday. Table cloths and hand towels need cleaning.
No ironing required! Phew! _________________________
HOSTS NEEDED FOR LEMONADE ON THE LAWN
Starting Sunday, June 3rd, the weekly coffee hour will be re placed by Lemonade on the Lawn. Lemonade on the Lawn is an easy and fun way to get involved at Saint Alban's. All you need to do is provide lemonade and cookies or other light summer refreshments.
