1) Please pray for Linda Z. as she recovers from knee surgery on September 25 and for Diane Bible who had knee surgery on September 20.
Tele and Heather Moraes - Please pray for San Antonio Evangelical Friends Church, the new church plant in Brazil (pictured bottom left). The initial impact was made in recent months as students and families responded positively to marital arts classes offered in this high-risk community. Pray for the leadership and for this church to be established (Matthew 16:18).

Ed and Linda - Pray for personal renewal, refreshment, and wisdom (Colossians 1:9-12) for Ed and Linda during their time in the U.S. this fall. Pray that God's heart for the world will be shared as they visit our churches.

Haiti - Friends from Battlecreek and Morningside Friends churches partnered to re-roof a church and school facility in Haiti last week (pictured bottom right). Please pray for Pastor William Bertrand, the church leaders, and teachers as the minister in the name of Christ (Isaiah 60:1-2).
The Finance and Administration Team created a " Recommended Policies and Procedures" document to help guide financial practices in churches. Questions can be directed to team member Tim Keen (330) 817-0183 or Ministry Director Ed Walsh (ewalsh@efcer.org).
NAE Christian Student Leadership Conference
January 28 - February 1, 2019
The Christian Student Leadership Conference is a place where college students who care deeply about today’s pressing issues come to learn and consider how to engage in public policy.

If you are a college student who wants to see justice, mercy and humility in today’s politics, then this conference is for you.
At the Christian Student Leadership Conference, you’ll be inspired and empowered as you:
  • Interact with today’s top public policy issues;
  • Hear from elected officials, public policy leaders and thinkers;
  • Express your values in a civil and biblical way; and
  • Speak on behalf of those who have no voice.

Consider your calling as you experience power-packed briefings, dialogue, and reflection — all while taking in our nation’s bustling capital city.

Quotes for the Week

"Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest." - Hebrews 3:1 (NIV)

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great could of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
- Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV)
