BANK SURVEY
Many thanks to those of you who completed the ISME Bank Survey. The survey allows us to monitor bank business lending and to highlight any concerns in the media and to Government officials. The survey found that the loan refusal rate went from 33% to 45% in this quarter. The Survey had been noting a general improvement in lending to SMEs in the last  year but this change is a worrying sign. The hope is that the banks are not reverting to form, with the resultant slowing of economic growth.
