MCC Portland turned 41 on January 6 - but it's never too late to celebrate! Since January was so unpredictable, we are observing our anniversary THIS Sunday. Worship will include awarding the Anniversary Award and a special musical guest (see below) and followed by hosted brunch in our Fellowship Hall. Plan to join us and don't miss this opportunity to celebrate MCCP!

Welcome Our Special Musical Guest, Marsha Stevens-Pino!
Marsha Stevens-Pino
Named the "mother of contemporary Christian music" in The Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music, Marsha is well-known throughout MCC. In addition to sharing her musical gifts with us, Marsha has a newly published book, For Those Tears I Died, which chronicles the story of the much-loved song she composed and her journey as an out lesbian Christian and singer. Marsha's book and CD's will be available for purchase Sunday at MCCP or anytime through her ministry website
Lent is a rich spiritual season set aside for personal reflection and spiritual growth in preparation for the Resurrection of Easter.Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and the ritual of the imposition of ashes.At MCCP we offer ashes for individuals beginning at 12Noon throughout the afternoon.A brief prayer and meditation service will be held from 6-6:30PM.
