At the Pride festival last weekend we invited people to leave their prayers of gratitude or concern about anything or anyone with us. We commit to offering those prayers on their behalf aloud in our worship - which is the centerpiece of worship this Sunday, June 25. Don't miss one of our most moving worship services of the year!

People's Pantry Offering Sunday, July 2

Your financial and food donations to the People's Pantry are always welcome! We encourage them

on the first Sunday of the month!

Items currently needed for prepared food bags :

soups, chili, stew, ravioli/Beefaroni, sardines, pudding cups, peanut butter pads, juice pouches, Vienna sausages, raisins (6 pack), spaghetti sauce, Spam/Treet,

cut green beans, instant milk

On the Lookout for Our New Home

MCCP is in the process of looking for a new ministry home! We remain in communication with a site in which we're interested, but we're seeking other options, too. You can help! Be on the lookout for:

A vacant or underutilized building which we could use or renovate for our use. It does not need to be a church, but we need 10-20,00 square feet.
A "close-in" Portland location is preferred, but anywhere in the metro area will be considered.
We're happy to share! If you know a property owner with suitable space or another group also looking, we want to talk with them.

Be a Part of "Campaign 41"!

"Campaign 41" is a challenge campaign launched in May to raise funds in support of our 41st year of ministry.

May: $41 anniversary gifts and new or increased pledges. See the orange cards. Did you make a pledge? Now is the perfect time to fulfill it!
June: "Pride Boosters" financial sponsors for Pride parade participation. Did you get Pride Boosters? Collect and submit your donations with the form to the church office or Janie Z.

TRANSITIONS: We are deeply saddened to share that MCC Portland member, Alice Mackey, passed away on Wednesday, June 14.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at MCC Portland on Sunday, July 23 at 1PM.
