oneOpen AP Meeting

There will be an open meeting with our Advisory Panel, the governing board of ILM Academy, tomorrow (Sunday) at 9am. Parents are encouraged to attend to discuss progress of our school. Please RSVP by responding to this email so we may make space accommodations.
Save the Date: Fundraising Gala 2015

Our annual fundraising gala for this academic year is fast approaching! It will be held on Sunday, February 15 at 5:30pm at the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside. The gala will include performances from all of the students in the school so it is very important that our students all attend. If, for any reason, you know that your child will not be able to, please let us know ASAP.

More details about the fundraiser, including purchasing tickets, will be made available in the coming couple of weeks. Please remember that you will be able to invite all of your family members, and are highly encouraged to do so.
twoCatalog Items Arriving + Prizes

Students will be receiving the items they sold for the catalog fundraiser on Monday. Please distribute them to those who purchased them this week. Those students who won prizes for selling a certain number of items will be given those prizes as well. We would like to congratulate our grand prize winner who sold 20 items - Omar Ali from Montessori! We appreciate all of the students who worked hard to even sell a few items each.
Drive for An Nisa

The PTA is holding a drive for the An Nisa Hope Center, a nonprofit which works to prevent domestic abuse in the community. In doing so, the organization provides victims with donation items and monetary donations. Please bring in these donations into the school atrium to turn in in the donation money box and container:
  • shampoo
  • soap
  • deodorant
  • lotion
  • cotton swabs
  • toothpaste
  • toothbrushes
Online Book Fair

The in-school book fair is over but the online book fair is still active until tomorrow (Sunday). Shop for the same books that were at the school and more by going to our online book fair site (click here to visit it) and the books will be shipped to the school for free. We will send them home with your child when we receive them this week.
threeEarly Dismissal

Please remember that this Friday will be early dismissal for all students (from ECC up through 7th grade) at 11:45am. All students must be picked up by 12:10pm at latest.
Priority Admissions for 2015-2016

We are opening Priority Admissions for 2015-2016 on January 1, 2015. Please inform anyone you know who is interested in applying for their child for 2015-2016 and keep this time in mind to re-apply for your own child(ren) in that time period. The application process this year will be online via TADS and you will pay the fee online as well. (More information on applying coming soon.) The application fee this year will be $65/student for the first 3 students you are applying for in your family. Thereafter, the fee will be waived for your fourth or more children.

It is important that you apply for your child during the Priority Admissions time period (January 1-31) in order to reserve your child's spot in next year's classes. We are anticipating waiting lists for almost all of our grades.

The tuition for the next academic year has been set at $5,900 for one student for the year, with a 20% discount for the second child, 30% for the third child, 40% for the fourth child, and 50% for the fifth child. In the next academic year, we will continue to charge the activity/book fees, however we will no longer charge the $30 school supply fee as we did this year via TADS.
How to Purchase Yearbooks by Dec. 31

The deadline for buying a yearbook at the discounted price is fast approaching on December 31. After that time, the yearbook price will increase from $16 to $26. You can buy your child(ren)'s yearbooks by:
  1. Bring in a check payable to Memory Book for $16 x quantity of yearbooks you want to buy (turn this in to the front office or your child's teacher)
  2. Go online to order, enter the code 76605, and submit your order!
