This Sunday is our annual fundraising gala. All ILM Academy students must arrive to the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside (13210 Katy Frwy, 77079) by 5:00pm.
Please be sure to feed your child a filling lunch before coming. Upon arriving at the hotel, please take him/her to the restroom one more time.
After this, walk to the registration table to sign in for yourself and your family. Then you will take your ILM Academy student to the children's registration table and sign him/her in there. After signing in your child, he/she will be watched by the teachers.
All students will be given snacks at that time and then the entire student body will rehearse their performance together. It is integral that you bring your child at 5pm so that they can rehearse on stage prior to the performance. (It also helps you avoid the long registration line that is created close to 5:30.) During this time, you may enjoy appetizers outside of the hall.
Maghrib prayer for adults will be held at 6:15 in the Paluxy room. Students will pray maghrib in the children's room.
The students will be in the care of our staff or babysitters until 9:00pm, at which time you will need to sign them out of the children's program. This will be after your dinner. Students will be fed dinner in the children's rooms already and you should not take them out of the children's program prior to the time you are leaving the event.

Fundraiser: Student Costumes & Dress
As stated in previous emails, please be sure to bring your child on the day of the fundraiser in the costume/dress code designated for him/her specifically or for that class.
ECC and Montessori costume information can be found at this email link we've sent before.
The 1st-7th graders must dress in the exact same costume they brought in to be checked and was approved this week.
The 4th-7th grade girls have already received their purple or maroon pashminas to wear as hijaabs at the fundraiser. If they choose to not wear it as a hijaab but instead want to wear it in another fashion, they should still bring it and we will arrange it as needed. Please remember to bring this pashmina with you.
The 4th-7th grade boys will receive their pashminas on Sunday. |

Monday: Student Holiday
As a reminder, Monday is Presidents' Day so it is a student holiday and a staff in-service day. The school week will resume on Tuesday.
|
Parent-Teacher Conferences
The Monday after this coming one (February 23) will be parent-teacher conference day. The online sign up sheet for this will be made available early this coming week, after the fundraiser. |
Thank You for Saving Lives
At today's blood drive, 24 donors gave blood from among our parents, staff, and other community members - Muslim and non-Muslim alike. This means that at least 24 and up to 72 lives were saved by the ILM Academy community today. Thank you so much for your commitment to the community and our ILM Academy family.
